About us
Blessing Bags Melbourne is a grassroots, volunteer-led initiative based in South-East Melbourne, dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and financial hardship.
We assemble and distribute hygiene and care packs filled with essential personal care items, practical necessities and, most importantly, a handwritten message of hope and kindness. Each bag is a reminder to the person receiving it that they are seen, valued and not alone.
Our work is made possible by a passionate team of volunteers who generously give their time alongside work, family and other commitments. From packing bags and organising donations to connecting with schools, businesses, community groups and local services, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
We believe that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. Through the generosity of our volunteers, donors, community partners and supporters, we work to strengthen our local community and let people experiencing difficult times know that someone cares.

The impact of our work
We provide hygiene and care kits to individuals and communities across Melbourne through partnerships with community organisations, crisis centres, schools, community groups and businesses.
Our partner organisations help us reach people who may be experiencing homelessness, disadvantage or financial hardship by distributing the kits directly to those they support. Together, we ensure practical essentials and a message of kindness reach people when they need a little extra support.
